New London (pop. 1001), located at the junction of Highway 61 and Highway 19 and lying ten miles south of Hannibal, Missouri, is the county seat of Ralls County. As such, it is home to the newly-renovated Ralls County Courthouse. The courthouse, constructed in 1858, is believed to be the oldest county courthouse west of the Mississippi River still in use as a seat of government. |
